Larchmont Police Blotter: August 21-28

Man receives funds from local regarding Craigslist ad, does not deliver the service.

The following is a brief synopsis of some of the incidents investigated by the Larchmont Police Department between Aug. 21 and 28:

Vehicle and Traffic Law arrest

A Wingdale man was arrested on Aug. 22 and charged with operating with a suspended license after he was observed operating his vehicle on Chatsworth Avenue. The vehicle was impounded and the operator released on $200 bail.

Criminal mischief

The owner of a Larchmont Avenue business establishment reported on Aug. 25 that sometime during the overnight hours, two large planters located outside the entrance to the business and valued at $200 were damaged.

Larceny

- A New Rochelle woman reported on Aug. 26 that the previous day her cell phone was inadvertently left at the Larchmont Playhouse. When she returned to retrieve it, she was advised by employees that the property had not been turned in to them.

- An Iselin Terrace resident reported on Aug. 27 that he sent funds to an individual in Kansas after the two entered into a business agreement stemming from a Craigslist advertisement.  Reportedly after the money was received, the party ceased all contact.

- A Chatsworth Avenue resident reported on Aug. 27 that his bicycle, valued at $300, was removed from the bicycle rack in Lot 3.
