The Larchmont resident will receive her award of $5,000 on Dec. 16 for her volunteer work in the community.

Larchmont resident Kathy Riddle will be awarded with a $5,000 grant for her work in the community, according to a release from USA Network.

Riddle is the CEO and co-founder of Outreach and was selected as one of ten honorees for the 2015 USA Unites Award. The award recipients were selected from hundreds of nominees, and are being recognized by USA Network, in partnership with Cablevision.

The network said in a statement:

“Kathy Riddle is deeply committed to making a difference in the lives of individuals, families and communities affected by substance abuse. For more than 35 years, she has been a tireless advocate for access, development and treatment for adolescents in need of chemical dependency treatment in New York. Outreach offers treatment services at facilities in Brooklyn, Queens and on Long Island, and under Kathy’s leadership, has been recognized for its excellence in assisting teens, young adults, women and other adult communities to rebuild healthy lives. After seeing heroin use rise to its highest level in a decade, Kathy has taken a lead role in influencing public policy and working to assure that quality care is widely available and readily accessible for those struggling with opiate addiction. Under Kathy’s remarkable leadership, Outreach has positively impacted the lives of many, and for the last six years, it has been named “One of the Best Companies to Work for in New York State.”
