Leatherstocking, Sheldrake Trails Annual Earth Day Cleanup Set
Mother Nature is remarkably resilient but maintaining a trail system to let everyone enjoy that natural beauty takes a little elbow grease.

MAMARONECK, NY — Even hidden gems need to be polished occasionally and the Town of Mamaroneck has a treasure worth spending some time to care for.
It's time for the Annual Spring Earth Day Cleanup in the Town of Mamaroneck. The town is looking for volunteers to help get the Leatherstocking and Sheldrake Trails back to their natural beauty.
The event will take place Saturday, April 23, from 10 a.m. - noon.

The meeting place will be next to 21 Winged Foot Drive at the gravel parking area. Parking is limited so car pooling is a good idea, if possible.
Volunteers are asked to wear long pants and boots or sneakers (no open-toed shoes) and to bring their own gloves and bug spray. Gloves will also be provided, along with trash bags, drinking water and healthy snacks from Trader Joe's. Masks will be optional.
