Library Will Be Collecting Books For Westchester County Prisons
The Larchmont Library will be accepting books for donation on Friday and Saturday, but there are certain criteria that must be met.

LARCHMONT, NY — The library will help bring the benefits of reading to inmates in Westchester County this weekend and they could use our help.
The Larchmont Library will be accepting donations of clean, lightly used paperback books for Westchester County prisons.
While they normally do not accept donations of adult books, they are making an exception for two days, on Friday, July 16 and Saturday, July 17.

Bins have been placed outside the front door of the library and at the Children's Room entrance.
There are certain genres that are needed: autobiography, biography, mystery, popular novels, fantasy, Spanish language novels, graphic novels, urban novels and westerns.

There are also certain topics that are requested: popular non-fiction, fitness/health/nutrition, self-help and popular culture.
Large print books are needed as well and will be accepted in hardcover form.
Any books that do not meet the requested criteria will be discarded, according to library officials.
