LARCHMONT, NY — The Larchmont Mamaroneck and New Rochelle Lions Clubs will announce the local winners in the International Lions Peace Poster Competition Thursday, Nov. 7. The event will take place at 4:15 P.M. at the Larchmont Village Center.

Every year, Lions Clubs around the world sponsor the Lions International Peace Poster Competition in local schools and youth groups. This contest, for children ages 11 to 13, encourages young people to express their visions of peace through art. Now in its 32nd year, the competition has engaged millions of children from nearly 100 countries. The international grand prize and 23 merit award winners will be announced at the United Nations Lions Day in March.

The theme of the 2019-2020 Peace Poster Contest is "Journey of Peace."
