LM Lions & Sedona Taphouse Donate Nearly $2K To 'Friends of Karen'

The organization provides free emotional, financial and advocacy support to children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.

LARCHMONT-MAMARONECK, NY — The Sound Shore has deliciously dined its way to a hefty donation to good cause.

The Larchmont Mamaroneck Lions have once again collaborated with Friends of Karen and Sedona Taphouse's "Mondays Dine Out for Charity" program.

Sedona dedicates a full month of Mondays throughout the year to support local charities and service groups. Sedona recently raised $1452, which combined with what the Lions donated, totaled $1952 in support of Friends of Karen.

North Salem-based Friends of Karen is an organization that provides free emotional, financial and advocacy support to children with life-threatening illnesses and their families, in order to help keep them stable, functioning, and able to cope. Find out more about Friends of Karen here.

The Larchmont Mamaroneck Lions, celebrating their Centennial this year, focus on supporting existing non-profit and community service groups by bringing community service leaders together to determine needs, solutions and resources. The LM Lions are part of Lions Clubs International, the world’s largest service organization of over 1.4 million members. The Lions signature cause is Vision/Blindness, along with Hunger, the Environment, Diabetes, Childhood Cancer and the future of Youth. They are signatories of the United Nations resolutions on women’s and refugee rights, and are currently active in Afghanistan & Ukrainian refugee resettlement. In addition, affordable housing is a local Lions priority.
