LWV to Sponsor 'Meet the Candidates Night" at Mamaroneck Library

The Sound Shore community will have a chance to meet and chat with their elected officials on Wednesday, Nov. 28.

Although Election Night passed by in a haze of power outages and Hurricane Sandy, members of the Larchmont-Mamaroneck community will now have a chance to chat directly with the newly elected members of local, county and state government.

Sponsored by the League of Women Voters (LWV) of Larchmont-Mamaroneck, “Meet Your Newly Elected Officials' Night” will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 28 at the Mamaroneck Public Library Community Room (next to the Emelin Theater entrance) from 7-9 p.m.

It won't be a night of speeches though.

"[It's] Just an opportunity for citizens to chat informally with local elected officials; offer their congratulations; share stories and concerns after Hurricane Sandy and continue the process of working together to improve our tri-municipality," said a release sent out by the LWV.
