Mamaroneck Board of Ed to Vote on Proposed 2015-16 School Budget
The community will is scheduled to vote May 19 on the board's recommended spending plan.

The Mamaroneck Board of Education Tuesday is scheduled to vote on the district’s proposed $133.9 million spending plan for the 2015-16 school, according to officials. The meeting is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Mamaroneck High School in the Tiered Classroom.

The district was facing a $2 million shortfall in next year’s budget, but officials made various changes and reduced a discrepancy in retirement calculations to come up with the $133.9 million figure.

If approved, the spending plan will go to voters on May 19 for final approval. Additionally, the board will report on the Community Listening Tour that took place this past fall and winter.
