Mamaroneck FBLA: Harbor Cleanup, Trophy Case, and more

Eventful week for Mamaroneck FBLA.

Mamaroneck FBLA was able to give back to the Mamaroneck community by organizing a clean-up community service event at the Mamaroneck Harbor this past Sunday, November 24th. Members showed up to the Harbor at around 11pm to cleanup any trash and trash residue from our Town’s beloved waterside.

Last Monday, November 18th, Mamaroneck FBLA officially restocked its reputable School Store. The Store, managed by Marianna Day, is now stocked with gum, soda, candy, snacks, and other cheap commodities, which are now available for all students and staff members in the Overpass of the High School.

Last Thursday, November 21st, Chapter Treasurer Dana Cohen signed a grant on Mamaroneck FBLA’s behalf for a long-awaited trophy case; reserved for uniquely Mamaroneck FBLA trophies, plaques, etc. The trophy case is to be displayed near the FBLA room at the High School, in the Post side building.

For the Chapter members, Gertrude Hawk fundraisers were due last week as well. Gertrude Hawk is a fundraising program launched three years ago by then-Chapter Treasurer Andrew Danziger, as a way for Chapter members to attend conferences, meetings, and trips comfortably, without spending great sums of money on food or expenses, by selling chocolates and using the money raised to alleviate any costs and support the Mamaroneck Chapter.

At the Middle School level, weekly meetings are now in place and running smoothly.
