Mamaroneck Italian Ices Shop Has Neighbors Upset Over Noise, Traffic
The village misclassified the business leading to the problems.
MAMARONECK, NY — A popular seasonal business in Mamaroneck has made neighbors irate and the zoning board has stepped in to correct a mistake the village made that is the root cause.
Ralph’s Italian Ices and Ice Cream on Boston Post Road was originally classified as a retail business by the village instead of a food business, meaning it was subject to fewer regulations such as a site plan review, according to an article at the Journal News.
Parking problems, traffic, noise and litter caused by the business is what has the neighbors upset.
