Mamaroneck J-Students Create Podcast

The students traveled to West Virginia and collected enough material, including audio, that allowed them to produce a series of podcasts.

MAMARONECK, NY — Students in a journalism class at Mamaroneck High School have produced a podcast which is now available to the public. Evan Madin's journalism class, which traveled to West Virginia to cover a topic they researched, collected enough audio to put together podcasts with a similar template and storyline to "This American Life."

They call the podcast "Discourse."

According to information from the school district, podcasting was introduced during the 2018-19 school year through a Mamaroneck Schools Foundation grant that provided the money for students to build a professional podcast studio complete with professional equipment.
