Mamaroneck Mulling Fee On Plastic, Paper Bags
The town considered and then tabled a fee scheme a few years ago.

MAMARONECK, NY — The Town of Mamaroneck might be taking another stab at imposing a fee on plastic and paper bags. Over the past year and a half, the town board has been working on a draft law that would be similar to one that was tabled in 2013.
That law would have imposed a fee on plastic or paper bags bought within the town in an effort to get people to change their behavior and start using reusable bags, the Journal News said.
Town officials said the draft law will be ready for discussion in a few months.
