Mamaroneck Pop-Up Outdoor Classical Concerts For Summer

Which ad-hoc venue is your favorite place to listen to live classical music outdoors? The weather might be more important than acoustics.

MAMARONECK, NY — Now it finally feels like summer — a series of 30-minute-long classical performances will "pop-up" at various locations around the village.

The Classical Pop-Up Concerts start on July 16, in Florence Park with Cara Quartet taking the stage.

Other shows throughout the summer include Caitlyn Carpenter performing on July 23 in the Poetry Garden located at Prospect Ave and Library Lane. Wilderness Quartet will play at on July 30 in Columbus Park.

The Utopia Winds Quartet was originally supposed to take the stage July 9, but was rescheduled due to Tropical Storm Elsa for August 6, in Columbus Park.

All shows start at 7 p.m., weather permitting.

The Classical Pop-up Concerts are presented by the Village of Mamaroneck Arts Council and the Village of Mamaroneck Parks & Recreation. All shows are free. Concertgoers should bring their own seats.
