Mamaroneck's Archie Comic Publications Lawsuit Settled

A lawsuit between two co-CEOs of Archie Comics over control of the company has been settled.

A lawsuit between Nancy Silberkleit, daughter-in-law of founder Louis H. Silberkleit, and Jonathan Goldwater, a son of founder, John L. Goldwater, over control of the company has been settled, reported the New York Times.

According to the article, terms of the settlement were not made public, but a court order barring Nancy from entering the Mamaroneck headquarters will presumably no longer be in force.

The article quotes Ms. Silberkleit’s lawyer, Howard D. Simmons, as saying his client was pleased that “her reputation has been restored and that she can now continue to work for Archie Comics in her role as co-chief executive."

Several of Jonathan's nieces, however, have indicated in court filings that they may pursue litigation against Jonathan for "mismanagement of their 25 percent stake in the company."
