At Miller Clark we pride ourselves on being one of the oldest continuously run small animal veterinary hospitals in the country. This year will mark our 110th year in practice in Mamaroneck, where the practice moved from its origins in Manhattan in the 1800s. Throughout our rich history we have always had high quality doctors, like Dr. Khodakhah, here to serve the areas residents and their pets. Whether it is a cat in distress, a dog needing a Rabies vaccine, or a lucky pet going on a trip and in need of a health certificate, we are here for our residents. In addition, we have maintained accreditation by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) continuously for over 35 years. That accreditation is awarded to a small percentage of hospitals in the country that undergo a rigorous voluntary inspection every 3 years.
Dr. Khodakhah’s medical and surgical expertise will add to our full complement of five veterinarians, making us one of the largest general practices in the county. However, we have been able to retain that “old fashioned” aura that keeps clients coming back, generation after generation. Dr. Khodakhah’s affinity for felines will help elevate the care that our feline patients are already fortunate enough to receive.

In the past two years we have become “feline friendly” at Miller Clark, by adding a feline-only exam room, a feline waiting area, and special procedures and techniques to minimize their stress in the hospital. In addition, Dr. Amerling, chief of staff at Miller Clark, has been accredited by the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP). Dr. Amerling has also been named to Westchester’s “Top Veterinarians” for 2011 and 2012.
