Mamaroneck Students Meet with Bank Officials, Play 'Bankers for the Day'
The students were able to explore various divisions of the bank.
MAMARONECK, NY - Five Mamaroneck High School students got a chance recently to become “Bankers for the Day.”
The students—Zach Zola, Hayden Cohen, Matt Mason, Jacob Goldstein and Michael Albert—were named semi-finalists in the Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s High School Fed Challenge, during which they played the role of monetary policymakers by analyzing economic conditions and recommending monetary policy, according to organizers.

They were invited by M&T Bank’s New York City Regional President Peter D’Arcy and Chief Marketing Officer Peter Eliopoulos to get closer looks at some of the bank’s leaders.
Economics teacher Adam Sobel said the students got a sense of the different divisions of the bank and how they worked together.

“The day really opened their eyes to what a banking future could look like,” he said.
