Mamaroneck to Haze Geese After Molting
Village of Mamaroneck officials will pursue methods to haze geese after the molting season is over.

Though the village received a proposal from Dr. Steven Garber of Worldwide Ecology, it is unknown if they will be pursing this option or seeking propositons from other places.

Mamaroneck resident Nora Lucas, in an email to board members, urged USDA officials to document locations of goose eggs and nests so that village employees and volunteers would be able to take over egg oiling in future years. Town of Greenwich Conservation Director Denise Savageau gave an egg oiling workshop at Mamaroneck Public Library last week in an effort to educate the community.
