Zion Memorial Chapel, Westchester Country’s ONLY, all-Jewish, free standing and independent funeral home, is celebrating its 30th year.  Opened in 1996 under the advice and direction of Rabbi Steven Ziskind, a mentor and friend of Vincent Graziano, Zion was predicated on the belief that the Jewish community deserved better and more options when it came to burying their loved ones.  Zion, with no conglomerate affiliations and no shared facilities, has been able to maintain better than competitive costs over the years.  They remain, in fact, the lowest cost Jewish funeral provider in Westchester County and are proud of such.  Zion Memorial Chapel has created strong bonds with area rabbis who recognized the firm’s unique attention to detail and heightened compassion towards grieving families. Regan Kelly, an almost 15-year veteran of the Village of Mamaroneck Police Department, proudly watched his son, Luke, get sworn in to police force only a few towns over in Greenwich, CT, as <a href="http://www.greenwichtime.com/policereports/article/New-Greenwich-police-officers-sworn-in-3435792.php#photo-2740698" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">reported by the Greenwich Time.</a>  </p> <p>Three other new police officers were also sworn in during the ceremony.</p> <p>Although Luke originally had badge 110, Greenwich Police Chief James Heavey changed the badge number to 109 so that both generations would have the same number.</p>

<p>The Nyack Famous Street Fair will be returning on Sunday, May 17 from 10 to 5 in downtown Nyack. This is the ultimate shopping and dining event you do not want to miss. The fair features over three hundred exhibitors, from four states with arts, crafts, new retail, home décor, and unique gifts set up in tents lining Main, Broadway and Cedar Streets.
