Mamaroneck Village's Police Sergeant's Son to Follow In Father's Footsteps

Luke Kelly, the son of Village of Mamaroneck Police Sgt. Regan Kelly, was sworn in as a new member of the Greenwich Police Department yesterday at Greenwich Town Hall.

Both father and son will wear the same badge number, 109.

Sgt. Regan Kelly, an almost 15-year veteran of the Village of Mamaroneck Police Department, proudly watched his son, Luke, get sworn in to police force only a few towns over in Greenwich, CT, as reported by the Greenwich Time.

Three other new police officers were also sworn in during the ceremony.

Although Luke originally had badge 110, Greenwich Police Chief James Heavey changed the badge number to 109 so that both generations would have the same number.
