Mamaroneck Warns Residents about Power Consumption
Con Ed contacted village officials about a reduction in the power grid.

Village of Mamaroneck officials are urging residents to reduce their power consumption following a warning from utility company Con Ed.
In an email to residents, officials wrote that the village was contacted by Con Ed that “due to the severe heat and high demand for electricity, they will be reducing the electrical power to the grid by as much as five percent (5%) or more, as a preventive measure to reduce the likelihood of power outages.”
Temperatures have reached the 90s over the last couple of days, which led to air quality and heat advisories.
