Memorial Day Events 2022: Mamaroneck And Larchmont

There will be time for fun and festivities this weekend, but Memorial Day events will honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

LARCHMONT/MAMARONECK, NY — Longstanding events to honor the sacrifices of America's soldiers will take place in Larchmont and Mamaroneck once again in 2022.

On Thursday, May 26, Larchmont's Memorial Day Parade returns. The parade will kick off at 7 p.m. at the Chatsworth Bridge. Former Village Deputy Mayor, Carol Casazza Herman will be the Grand Marshal. The parade will end at Village Hall, where hot dogs will be served. The Larchmont Historical society is allowing community members to place bids here for the unique opportunity to ride on the back of the 100-year-old Engine One in the parade.

On Sunday, May 29, American Legion Post 90's Memorial Day Parade will step off at 5 p.m. The parade will assemble at 4:00 p.m. in front of Mamaroneck Ave. School, run down Mamaroneck Ave. and into the village, make a right turn onto Prospect Ave. and go up the hill to American Legion Post 90, located at 189 Prospect Ave.

The Memorial Day tributes and remembrance ceremony will take place in front of their hall on Prospect Avenue, near the village police station.
