MSF Awards $10,000 in Student Grants for Pilot Initiative

Nine new grants were awarded to students at Mamaroneck High School as part of a pilot to extend the reach of MSF's grant program.

Larchmont/Mamaroneck, NY - November 15, 2018 - The Mamaroneck Schools Foundation (MSF) is proud to announce and celebrate the recipients of its first ever student-led grant initiative in the Mamaroneck School District.

Nine new grants, totaling $10,000, were awarded to students at Mamaroneck High School as part of a pilot to extend the reach of MSF’s grant program to students in the district. Students in grades 10-12 were invited to apply for grants to be implemented at MHS, Hommocks, or any of the district elementary schools.

“We know that students are creative, innovative, and full of fantastic ideas,” said Molly Broaddus, VP of grants. “We wanted to tap into that energy and allow them the opportunity to present grant ideas that would positively impact their learning experience. I am so thrilled for the MHS students who submitted a wonderful slate of thoughtful grants for this pilot program, under a tight deadline.”
