New Larchmont Mayor, Trustees Sworn Into Office
Larchmont Mayor Anne McAndrews and Trustees Marlene Kolbert and Peter "Bubba" Fanelli were sworn into office at last night's board meeting.
A crowd of supporters and well-wishers—more than the usual turnout for a board meeting— filled Larchmont's small courtroom last night to see Mayor Anne McAndrews and Trustees Marlene Kolbert and Peter Fanelli officially get sworn into office.
Both Westchester County Legislator Judy Myers and Town of Mamaroneck Supervisor Nancy Seligson wished the elected officials well in their new roles. Monsignor Thomas Kelly of —where McAndrews is a parishoner—told the board simply, "You are here to serve the public."
Following the administration of oaths, McAndrews appointed Chief of Police John Poleway as Grand Marshall for the Memorial Day Parade on May 24 at 7 p.m. She also designated the Larch Tree outside Village Hall as the "official tree of Larchmont."
