New Village Trustee Selected For Mamaroneck

Trustee Keith Waitt's resignation will be effective April 23

MAMARONECK, NY — A new village trustee has been selected to take over when Trustee Keith Waitt's resignation becomes effective April 23. An email from village Mayor Thomas A. Murphy received Tuesday said he will appoint Kelly Wenstrup to the soon-to-be-vacant post.

Wenstrup has been a member of the Mamaroneck Traffic Commission and currently serves on the village's Zoning Board of Appeals.

She also volunteered as a parent advocate for early intervention for children with special needs and served a vice chairwoman of the Mamaroneck Village Democratic Party from 2014-16, Murphy said.

He said Wenstrup is an accomplished attorney who clerked for the New Hampshire Supreme Court and then entered private practice handling cases involving civil and criminal litigation.

"I am thrilled that she has agree to serve on the board of trustees and feel confident that her experience, intelligence and common sense approach will benefit Mamaroneck's residents," Murphy said.
