No Account Caper: Police Blotter

The manager at the TD Bank on Boston Post Road foiled an attempted identity theft yesterday.

These are some of the cases being investigated by the and of Mamaroneck Police Departments from Jan. 13 to Jan. 17.

Village of Mamaroneck

Accident, Hit & Run
Benjamin Jimenez, 37, of Mamaroneck, was charged with DWI on Jan. 16. Jimenez reportedly hit two parked cars on the 200 block of N. Barry Ave. around 4:32 a.m.

Accident, Vehicle
A single car was involved in an accident around 10 a.m. on Jan. 17 near the 1600 block of Mamaroneck Ave. A 40 year-old woman was taken to White Plains Hospital with complaints of head pain.

Criminal Mischief
Sometime between 3 p.m. on Jan. 12 and 8 a.m. on Jan. 13, a car parked near the 900 block of W. Boston Post Rd. was vandalized. Its bumpers were cut and vehicle sensors removed causing $2,500 in damages.

Graffiti was found on a garage door on Highland Drive around 5 a.m. on Jan. 16.

Disorderly Conduct
A 57 year-old homeless man was arrested for disorderly conduct on Halstead Avenue at around 6 p.m. on Jan. 13.

DWI
Ashley Dizenzo, 20, of New Rochelle, was arrested for DWI at 3:55 a.m., Jan. 15 near the 600 block of W. Boston Post Rd.

Larceny
Credit cards and $90 cash were taken from a home on Maple Avenue around 3 a.m. on Jan. 14.

Town of Mamaroneck

Attempted Identity Theft
A man tried to obtain a business debit card after claiming he was an account holder at the TD Bank at 1289 Boston Post Rd. around 5 p.m., Jan. 17. The bank manager contacted the real account holder, foiling the unknown suspect’s caper. Police are investigating.
