Rye Neck School Calendar 2019-20: First Day Of School

MAMARONECK, NY — The first day of school is Sept. 3 in Rye Neck — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you'll want to mark the dates on your calendar ASAP.

The Rye Neck school district has released its 2019-20 calendar.

The calendars include important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for the 2019-20 school year:

September

• 9/3: First Day of School
• 9/30-10/1: No School (Rosh Hashanah)

October

• 10/9: No School (Yom Kippur)
• 10/14: No School (Columbus Day)

November

• 11/5: No School (Supt. Conference Day)
• 11/11: No School (Veterans Day)
• 11/28-29: No School (Thanksgiving Break)

December

• 12/23-31: No School (Holiday Recess)

January

• 1/1-3: No School (Holiday Recess)
• 1/20: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

February

• 2/17-21: No School (Winter Recess)

March

• 3/20: No School (Supt. Conference Day)

April

• 4/6-13: No School (Spring Recess)

May

• 5/25: No School (Memorial Day)

June

• 6/25: Last Day of School

The order of make-up days when school is closed for an emergency: 5/26, 5/22 and 4/13. If additional make-up days are required, they will be taken from Spring Recess in the following order: 4/6, 4/7, 4/8.
