Rye Neck Schools Lockout Lifted: UPDATE
The men may have been trying to steal cars in the area, police said.

MAMARONECK, NY — The Rye Neck schools superintendent said the police manhunt that forced a lockout Wednesday has ended. As of 11 a.m., information was received from the Rye Police Department that the investigation was closed, Superintendent Barbara Ferraro said.
The surrounding area was processed and was secure.
The lockout status for all the schools ended at dismissal Wednesday.

MAMARONECK, NY — Rye Neck schools are on lockout as police search for possibly armed men who fled the scene of a rollover crash in Rye early Wednesday morning.
Two of the suspects are in custody, Rye police said, and two are still being sought, lohud.com reported.

A notice on the Rye Neck school district website said its security staff has conducted searches in and around all the schools, but middle and high school students will not be allowed to go out to the gym until further notice.
