Snow Emergency Declared For Village Of Mamaroneck

Whenever possible, residents should not park on the street.

MAMARONECK, NY — Due to the impending nor’easter, the Village of Mamaroneck has declared a snow emergecy beginning at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday, March 14.

Mayor Norman S. Rosenblum said village offices will be closed Tuesday. Court is canceled for Tuesday, as well.

For garbage, Tuesday garbage routes will be picked up Monday. A determination will be made about Wednesday’s recycling on Tuesday afternoon.

Whenever possible, residents should not park on the street, so snow plows and equipment can get through.

Residents are reminded that plowing and snow-blowing into the street is illegal. Snow should be shoveled and plowed onto lawns and next to sidewalks.

The village’s goal is to restore roads, sidewalks and parking lots back to operation for Wednesday, the mayor said.
