Stop And Shop Closes Again In Wake Of Nearby Fire
The supermarket had opened Thursday night, but closed again Friday.
LARCHMONT, NY — The Stop and Shop on W. Boston Post Road in Larchmont briefly reopened Thursday after shutting down because of a fire in a dry-cleaners in the same shopping center. However, it had to close again Friday.
The grocery store in the Ferndale Shopping Center had to shut its doors because it needed a second generator to assure that fire and sanitary concerns are taken care of, the Journal News said.
Stop and Shop is hoping to reopen Friday night or Saturday.

A fire broke out Wednesday in Excelsior Cleaners. The shopping center also has a CVS and a restaurant — Cosi — in it.
