Storm Update from Town of Mamaroneck

We have sustained significant tree damage that has left over 1000 homes without power.

Today:

Hi this is Steve Altieri Mamaroneck Town Administrator with an update on our response to the March 13 storm. We have sustained significant tree damage that has left over 1000 homes without power. Con Edison has assigned a liaison to the Town and we have developed a plan for the re-opening of roads and restoration of power. Con Edision crews are in Town at this time working on the problem. Due to the extent of the damage we cannot provide an estimate of time for full restoration of power in Town. The order of priority is based upon the number of outages in a given area. If you leave your homes, please do not approach any down wires in the street or on your property. Please only use 911 for real emergencies. Thank you, we will provide further updates if conditions warrant.

Hi, this is Steve Altieri, Mamaroneck Town Administrator, with an emergency message regarding the storm that is active at this time:

Due to the high winds, down trees and down wires conditions in the Town are extremely dangerous. Many roads are closed at this time. Please do not leave home this evening unless absolutely necessary. Our emergency services are very busy. Only call 911 in the event of a real emergency. Much of the Town is now without power. If your home has no power please contact Con Edison at 1-800 75 Con Ed. Con Edison is responding to areas based upon the number of customers out of service so your call to Con Ed is important. We will notify you again if conditions warrant.
