That's No Bird House; It's A Little Library

LARCHMONT, NY — Two little lending libraries have popped up in Larchmont and Mamaroneck, and more, it seems, are on the way. The two current locations are in Flint Park and Turtle Park in Larchmont, with libraries appearing in Mamaroneck’s Harbor Island and Columbus parks later this month.

A $4,000 grant the Mamaroneck school district received from the Mamaroneck School Foundation helped establish the little libraries, the Journal News said. [Get Patch’s Daily Newsletter and Real Time News Alerts here.]

The rules are: you can take a book, you can return a book, all with no fees or obligations.
