Town of Mamaroneck Neighborhood Tree Walk, 5/2

Spring is finally here and the trees are blooming! Join us for a family-friendly tree walk and you'll never look at trees the same way again

Join us for a family-friendly Tree Walk sponsored by the Town of Mamaroneck. Sheldrake Naturalist Jenny Geer will lead a hands-on interactive walk around the brook where we will explore the wonderful variety of trees and learn:

  • how to identify trees from their bark, flowers and leaves
  • the ecological relationship of trees to other life forms
  • what is happening now in the life cycle of the trees
  • the value of trees to our community and environment

The walk is on Saturday, 5/2, 1pm (rain date: 5/9) and is a free event! Meet at the bridge at the brook on Hickory Grove Drive and West Brookside Drive. For information please contact Sheldrake Environmental Center at 914-834-1443 or at jgeer@sheldrakecenter.org.
