Mamaroneck Police Blotter: Aug 31 - Sept 7
A man who allegedly attempted to buy baby formula with forged card is charged with a felony.

The Town of Mamaroneck Police Department investigated the following incidents between Aug. 31 and Sept. 7:
Possession of a forged instrument
On Sept. 7, a 31-year-old man from Queens was arrested for allegedly paying for $143 worth of baby formula with a forged gift card at the Stop and Shop supermarket on Boston Post Road. Guoqing Jiang was charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument, a felony.

Burglary
On Sept. 5, an East Garden Road resident reported that someone gained access to her home through a front window and stole a $1,000 watch.

Petit larceny
On Aug. 31, an individual reported that between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on that day, someone stole $120 in cash from a purse in an office in the Mamaroneck Town Center.
In addition, police investigated:
- 5 motor vehicle accidents
- 2 hit & runs
- 1 report of aggravated harassment
- 1 report of second-degree harassment
The Village of Mamaroneck Police Department investigated the following incidents between Aug. 31 and Sept. 7:
DWI
- On Sept. 3, Matthew Chavarry, 22, of New Rochelle, was charged with driving while intoxicated after being stopped and arrested by police at approximately 12:55 a.m. on the 1600 block of Mamaroneck Avenue.
- On Sept. 3, Kathleen Rico, 38, of Rye, was charged with driving while intoxicated after being stopped and arrested by police at approximately 2:15 a.m. on Brook Street.
- On Sept. 4, Renee Glass, 24, of Mamaroneck, was charged with driving while intoxicated after being stopped and arrested by police at approximately 2 a.m. on West Boston Post Road.
Possession of marijuana
On Sept. 1, a 24-year-old female from New Rochelle was arrested on Station Plaza and charged with possession of marijuana.
Domestic disputes
- On Sept. 1, a 27-year-old male from Mount Vernon was charged with a family offense after allegedly being involved in a domestic dispute in the village.
- On Sept. 3, a 28-year-old male from Mamaroneck was charged with a family offense after allegedly being involved in a domestic dispute resulting in minor injuries in the village.
Trespassing
On Aug. 31, a 37-year-old homeless male and a 57-year-old female from Mamaroneck were arrested for allegedly being on the grounds of a commercial property on Mamaroneck Avenue.
Exposure
On Sept. 4, at approximately 11:30 p.m., a 27-year-old male from the village was arrested and charged with exposure of a person.
Larceny
Between Sept. 3 and 4, an unlocked bicycle left outside a Prospect Avenue residence was stolen.
Criminal mischief
- On Aug. 31, graffiti markings on a Phillips Park Road building were reported.
- On Sept. 1, graffiti markings on a commercial property on Palmer Avenue were reported.
- On Sept. 1, the driver's side mirror of a vehicle parked on the 500 block of Mamaroneck Avenue was damaged.
- On Sept. 3, graffiti markings on telephone boxes on The Parkway were reported.
- On Sept. 3, graffiti markings on a fence on South Barry Avenue were reported.
- On Sept. 4, graffiti markings on a Fayette Avenue building were reported.
- On Sept. 7, graffiti markings on village property were reported.
- On Sept. 7, a vehicle parked in the driveway of a North Barry Avenue home was scratched.
Attempted fraud
On Aug. 31, a Shore Acres resident reported that she received a notification stating that she had changed her address when she had not done so. No loss of monies resulted from this incident.
Noise
On Sept. 4, at approximately 11:10 p.m., noise at Molly Spillane's, 211 Mamaroneck Ave., was reported. The condition was corrected.
In addition, police investigated:
- 15 motor vehicle accidents
- 3 Vehicle and Traffic Law arrests
- 9 scofflaws
- 6 Village Code violations, one of them for riding a bicycle on a Mamaroneck Avenue sidewalk
- 1 hit & run
