Town of Mamaroneck Police Blotter: Hit and Runs on Several Parked Cars in Town

This week there were vandalized street signs, stolen money from a local apartment's washing machine and more.

These are some of the incidents investigated by the Town of Mamaroneck Police Department during the week of July 12-19:

July 12- It was reported that a Edgewood Avenue stop sign and four no parking signs were vandalized with graffiti and damaged.

July 14- A Florence Street resident reported the driver's side fender of his 2004 red company van was found damaged.

July 14- Four tires and four chrome rims, valued at $1,500, were stolen from a car parked overnight on N. Chatsworth Avenue. The investigation is ongoing.

July 15- The owner of a 2002 gray Lexus called police to report that someone had damaged her car while parked in the Ferndale shopping center. There was damage to the driver's side bumper.

July 16- A resident of a Rockingstone Avenue home called police when he noticed two men trespassing on his property. The suspects fled on foot when they noticed the resident was home.  Police were unable to locate the suspects.

July 19- Four washing machines and one dryer were found broken into and robbed in a Larchmont Acres apartment building. An unknown amount of money was stolen from the machines, which were damaged. The broken machines were discovered around 12:30 a.m.
