Two Mamaroneck High School Grads Among 2015 Pulitzer Prize Winners
The Mamaroneck School District congratulates Elizabeth Kolbert and David I. Kertzer.

Two of this year’s Pulitzer Prize winners graduated from Mamaroneck High School, according to district officials.
Elizabeth Kolbert (’79) won for “The Sixth Extinction” in the General Nonfiction category, and David I. Kertzer (’65) won the Biography or Autobiography prize for “The Pope and Mussolini: The Secret History of Pius XI and the Rise of Fascism in Europe.”

The awards were announced last week. Nearly 3,000 entries were reviewed to decide the 2015 Pulitzer Prize winners.
