Volunteer Opportunity Of The Week: Mentoring Startups

Every week, Patch will spotlight a volunteer opportunity somewhere in the Hudson Valley.

Each week Patch will be highlighting a volunteer opportunity — or two or three — in the Hudson Valley. This will be a chance to help your community and be an opportunity to give back — in perhaps a way you didn't consider before.

And if you have some need for volunteers, be sure to let us know by emailing michael.woyton@patch.com.

This week we are putting the spotlight on Mentor Entrepreneurs for Element 46 Incubator Program.

The Element 46 program was launched by Westchester County Executive George Latimer to inspire and support entrepreneurial talent and develop new businesses in Westchester.

The first cohort of Element 46 will be selected in April and begin in July.

There's more information here, but mentors will assist startups who are chosen for the program by offering their expertise, time and support.

Mentors are expected to provide three hours of private discussions each month with the startup.

The deadline to apply to be a mentor is April 19. To express interest in becoming a mentor, go here.
