Winter Is Coming: Time To Paint Village Tree Ornaments Is Nigh
Kids just need to paint their ornaments in festive colors and deliver them to the holiday mailbox at Mamaroneck Village Hall.

MAMARONECK, NY — The holidays seem like a long way away, but if you want your ornament to adorn the village tree, then now is the time to start making plans.
The Village of Mamaroneck Recreation Department is again inviting village residents to celebrate December festivities with an ornament decorating drive. The village is making it as easy as possible, but a little advance planning is required. Children registered for the program will receive a holiday ornament and all paint supplies, delivered by Recreation staff (just like Santa) to their home to be decorated.
Kids just need to paint their ornaments in festive colors and deliver completed ornaments to the holiday mailbox located in front of Mamaroneck Village Hall with the help of their parents. Painted ornaments may also be dropped off at the recreation office in the beach pavilion at Harbor Island Park during office hours, Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Better hurry though, because all completed ornaments must be submitted by no later than December 1. Completed ornaments submitted in time will decorate the village’s tree for the Mamaroneck Holiday Tree Lighting event on December 11, at 6:00 p.m. in Harbor Island Park.
The ornament drive is open only to Village of Mamaroneck Residents. There is a $3 per ornament fee. Families must pre-register to have their ornaments and supplies delivered by rec department elves in time for the tree lighting.
