Local movie theater brings back 1980s Tom Cruise favorite, "Top Gun".

Hempstead Turnpike becomes our very own "highway to the danger zone" this Saturday, April 30 and Monday, May 2 as Levittown's AMC Loews Theatre celebrates the 25th anniversary of Tom Cruise's "Top Gun" with two special showings.

Grab your husband or wife and relive this classic action romance- you'll be surprised just how quickly you're able to "bring back that lovin' feeling".

The film, originally released in 1986, tells the story of a young hotshot struggling to prove himself as a top fighter pilot.

You may not be able to ride a motorcycle or fit into your favorite leather jacket anymore, but you can still appreciate some quality entertainment, a big tub of popcorn and time spent reminiscing with the one you love.

The Saturday showing will take place at 12:30 p.m. and the film will play again at 7 p.m. on Monday. Guests will receive a commemorative poster while supplies last.
