• Liberty Utilities customers balk at its proposed water rate hikes (longislandpress.com) — Levittown households served by Liberty Utilities' Merrick district could see monthly water bills jump by about $21 if a proposed rate hike is approved, on top of already high regional costs. Nassau officials and residents are pushing back, arguing the increases are unfair while Liberty says the money is needed for infrastructure and water-quality improvements.
