Bageltown Serves Up Levittown's Favorite Breakfast

This busy deli offers much more than bagels.

Ask almost any person who lives in Levittown what deli has the best bagels, and you're bound to hear "Bageltown."

Bageltown of Levittown, located at 3263 Hempstead Tpke., offers much more than a bite for breakfast. Patrons are given a wide array of choices for every meal, far beyond the deli's famous bagels.

Almost any day of the week, especially in the morning, a long line is wrapped around the restaurant, but the friendly staff is sure to keep things moving. On weekend mornings, parking can be a bit of a pain. The lot is small and is shared between Bageltown, Lemon Tree and Sunrise Check Cashing. What most customers don't know is that an abundance of parking is available in the lot behind the deli as well.

Whether you are looking to sit down and eat or grab a bite on your way home, Bageltown can accommodate your needs. Although seating in the dining area is limited, most customers are on the go, so a table is almost always available.

When looking for bagels, you can't go wrong with a variety. Bageltown has quite the selection, including rare finds like their signature flagels, French toast bagel bites and the honey whole wheat and oat bagel. Low-carb bagels are available as well and contain just as much taste and flavor. When ordering, patrons can get a first hand look at the bagels being made in the window behind the counter and can usually receive a freshly baked, warm batch.

To top off your bagels, try out one of Bageltown's signature spreads. An assortment of homemade cream cheeses have come to be very popular among regular customers, like the vanilla walnut cream cheese, which tastes great on an everything bagel, or the vegetable cream cheese, which works on almost anything. If you are looking for something a bit sweeter for breakfast, try one of the deli's many muffins or pastries.

Bageltown serves up some of the best sandwiches around. Various specials run throughout breakfast and lunch, whether you'd like eggs and a coffee or turkey and a side salad.

All cold cuts are Boars Head Brand, and prices on both sandwiches and individual cold cuts are not too steep. If you are visiting Bageltown for lunch, be sure to try out the macaroni salad on the side. Other dishes include chicken cutlets and various pastas that are great for lunch, dinner or party platters.

The restaurant is open Monday through Friday, 5 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. Catering is available for all occasions and can be discussed with a manager on site.
