Battle of the Bands Raises $10K for Big Brothers Big Sisters Long Island

Second annual Battle of the Bands and raised thousands for the Levittown-based charity.

More than 150 people banged their heads during the second annual Battle of the Bands for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island.

The party raged at Mulcahy’s in Wantagh and brought together some of the area’s best rock acts. Together with the swarm of fans, the event raised more than $10,000 for BBBSLI, based in Levittown.

“I would like to extend a special thank you to our sponsors, guests and talented musicians who made this event a great success,” said Mark Cox, CEO of BBBSLI.

It was a tough decision, but Crucial Experiment were victorious with their eclectic song choices and crowned the winners of the competition. The Little Red Men and The Montauk Project were also contenders.

“We all look forward to Crucial Experiment defending their title in the 2015 Battle of the Bands,” said Cox.
