I am certain the list can be even longer. Ellie Greenwich is the famed songwriter. Maureen Tucker and Sterling Morrison joined Freeport native Lou Reed to make up the "Velvet Underground. " Artie Kornfeld was the creator of the 1969 Woodstock Festival. Kevin Covais is our recent celebrity, and Donnie Klang is a Hip Hop artist. Eddie Mahoney would later be famous rocker Eddie Money!
