Brian Eletti Commits to Playing Navy Lacrosse

Island Trees senior Brian Eletti has verbally committed to play lacrosse for Navy College after he graduates in 2014.

Eletti recently spoke to Student Sports Lacrosse at the FLG in 3D tournament, where he said there's excellent competition and a lot of exposure to some college coaches. He then discussed the challenges of recruiting.

"It's new to me, and it's definitely stressful," Eletti said. "Timeframes could be tough, especially with making a decision when you're so young. It's hard."

That decision has been made, as Eletti will head to Navy after his senior season.

Eletti scored 22 goals and tallied nine assists last season and earned All-Nassau County Honorable Mention and Academic All-Conference honors. As a sophomore the midfielder won .585 percent of face offs and scored 27 goals and 11 assists.
