The Ivy Lane Players present the play Turcaret by Alain-René Lesage.
Turcaret is a biting 1709 satirical comedy that exposes the greed, corruption, and moral decay of early 18th-century French society
and its rising class of unscrupulous financiers.
The plot revolves around the character of Turcaret, a wealthy but
unscrupulous financier who manipulates and exploits the people
around him in order to maintain his lavish lifestyle.
This play has a mature theme and some profanity.
