Cops: Construction Worker Strikes Gas Pipe in Levittown
Witnesses said crews were on the scene on Hempstead Turnpike and reported partial lane closures Friday morning.

A construction worker struck a gas pipe in Levittown and prompted a partial shutdown of Hempstead Turnpike Friday morning.
Nassau County Police confirmed a construction worker had struck a gas pipe near Grassy Lane at 11:55 a.m.
Witnesses driving by said fire and police crews were securing the scene and that parts of the street were shut down as crews secured the scene.
