Cops: Elderly Woman Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver
Police still searching for silver car that struck an elderly woman as she took out her garbage last week, cops said.
Police are continuing to search for a car involved in a hit-and-run that sent an elderly woman to the hospital, according to Nassau County Police.
Cops said the 80-year-old victim was putting her garbage in front of her home at 7:15 a.m. July 24 when she was struck by an oncoming car. The accident happened on Stirrup Lane in Levittown.
The silver car was last seen heading west on Stirrup Lane as it left the scene.

The victim suffered bruises and injuries to her shoulder and hip, cops said. She was brought to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Detectives are asking anyone with information to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
