Cue Nine: A Trendy Transition for Levittown

Revamped restaurant and billiards hall brings something new to town.

What was once a rundown pool hall on Hempstead Turnpike has recently transformed into one of Levittown's hottest new destinations for dining and nightlife.

Cue Nine Billiards and Restaurant offers an original menu featuring lunch, dinner and late-night options crafted by a celebrity chef, specialty cocktails from their full service bar and state-of-the-art billiards.

With Marc Anthony Bynum cooking in the kitchen, diners can expect a new level of quality at Cue Nine. Bynum's recently redesigned menu is made up of various American dishes with a unique twist.

Customers are given an assortment of appetizing starters to choose from. Fried calamari ($12), rib tips ($8) and kung pao rock shrimp ($12) are generous enough to share before the entrees arrive. If you're looking for a healthier start, pick one of the many salads displayed on the menu such as the salmon salad ($14) and the Asian chicken salad ($12), or more common choices like the classic caesar salad ($6) and the garden salad ($5).

A soup and sandwich lunch combo is designed for those who can't pick just one, and for only $9, the deal can't be beat. Daily soups are served with a half of either the New Yorker pastrami sandwich, the turkey club, the open faced steak sandwich or the supreme grilled cheese. Each lunch combo is also served with french fries on the side. The open faced steak sandwich - grilled skirt steak, melted swiss cheese, and sauteed mushroom and onions on garlic toast - has come to be a popular choice among diners.

A more extensive menu is available for dinner, offering delectable entrees like the 10 ounce kobe flat iron steak ($22), the pan roasted salmon ($16), and the MB's pasta rustica ($16). Each dinner dish is accompanied by a house salad.

Even if you aren't looking to sit down and eat, Cue Nine can still cater to your needs.

A large bar serves both imported and domestic beers, in the bottle and on tap, top-shelf liquor and wines, and a late-night bar menu. On the weekends, patrons can often find a live DJ spinning dance hits and great drink specials. Thursday night is ladies night, where ladies drink free from 10 p.m. to 12 a.m. Billiard tables are available by hourly rates.
