Division Avenue High School Evacuated After Threat
The school district received a threat this morning and evacuated the school "out of an abundance of caution." Police are investigating.

UPDATE, 4 P.M.: Students were admitted back into the school in the early afternoon, the school district said, and the school day continued as usual.
The Nassau County Police Department couldn't say if anything was found in the school, but the investigation is ongoing, a police spokesman said.
Students were let back into the school around 1:15 p.m., after the police investigation had ended at the building.

ORIGINAL STORY: Division Avenue High School in Levittown was reportedly evacuated Tuesday morning after a threat was called in to the school.
The Nassau County Police Department says that it was notified at 9:31 a.m. for a suspicious incident at the school. The district said it received a threat through its anonymous tip line.

Children from the school were evacuated to Summit Lane Elementary School, which is around the block from the high school. The district said the students were evacuated "out of an abundance of caution" and will remain at Summit Lane until the police investigation is completed.
