Dozens Of Long Islanders Run In Boston Marathon

People from all over the Island ran the race and finished with some impressive times. See the list of those who finished in the top half.

On Monday, thousands of people descended on Boston for the city's 121st marathon. People came from all over the world to test their mettle running 26.2 miles through the city streets. And Long Islanders were there in force, some getting some of the best times in the race.

According to the Boston Athletic Association, which manages the race, more than 27,000 people entered the marathon. Dozens of Long Islanders placed in the top half of finishers. Patch put together a list of some of the top finishers, including their home town, their completion time and their overall placement.
