In this new children's book, Theresa Siclari, presents rambunctious 9 year old, Sammi Jo, who hatches a plan to get the perfect gift for her mom for Mother's Day. Knowing crotchety neighbor, Mr. Wilson, has beautiful flowers in his yard, she is sure that snatching one of those plants would be perfect for her Mother's Day gift. All is going according to plan, until she trips on the plant stolen from Mr. Wilson's yard, and she finds out that it is not a flower plant, but a cactus plant. Covered in thorns, Sammi Jo has to explain to her mother how they got attached to her.

Theresa Siclari lives on Long Island with her husband and two daughters. She has previously authored The Pond Behind Grandmother's House and The Case of the Missing Hairpin. She is currently working on her next Sammi Jo adventure book.
