The Island Trees Library will be holding a bus trip to the Platzl Brauhaus St. Patrick's Day Festival on Mar. 17, with the bus departing the library at 8:30 a.m.
On arrival to the festival, guests will enjoy coffee, tea, scones and homemade donuts. For lunch, everyone will be treated to barley soup, salad, soda bread, bangers and mash, and vegetables in addition to a choice of entree from corned beef and cabbage, roasted half chicken or poached salmon filet. Dessert will feature ice cream, coffee, tea, wine, beer and soda. Before departure at 4 p.m., there will be a standing steamship roast from the carving table, as well as coffee and tea.
